Loxton Business Banking Consultants Ltd.
The Story Behind the Speed
We didn't start this company because we loved consulting. We started it because we were terrible at finding a good consultant.

Why We Do This
Every internal process at Loxton was designed backward from the question: what drove me crazy as a customer?
In 2009, our founder David Loxton was not a consultant. He was a mid-market operations director in Mississauga — and a deeply frustrated client. Over three consecutive engagements with different consulting firms, the pattern repeated: missed deadlines, budgets that ballooned without explanation, and a communication style best described as radio silence.
The third failure was the worst. A compliance project — one that should have taken eight weeks — dragged on for five months. When David finally asked for a status report (the fourth time he had asked), the firm sent a PDF that was clearly recycled from another client. Their company name was still in the header.
That was the turning point.
David did not set out to build a large firm. He set out to build the firm he wished he could have hired. The founding principle was simple and remains unchanged: respond the same day, deliver on the date we promised, and never send a report we have not personally reviewed. We are a small-to-mid-size team — currently sixteen people — and we are honest about that. It means we cannot take on every engagement that comes our way. But it also means every client works directly with senior people who know their file, not junior staff learning on the job at the client's expense.
Our Approach
The Old Way
- Initial call goes well — then weeks of silence
- Junior analysts do the work; partners appear only at billing time
- Scope creep treated as a revenue opportunity
- Status reports arrive late (and read like they were written for someone else)
- Final deliverable lands months after the original deadline
How We Work
- Same-day callback on every inquiry — within 12 business hours, guaranteed
- The person you meet in the pitch is the person who runs your project
- Fixed-scope agreements with change-order transparency (we explain the cost before we proceed)
- Weekly status reports on a consistent schedule — always reviewed by a senior lead
- 48-hour turnaround on initial project plans; delivery dates honored or we explain why early
The People Behind the Work
We are sixteen people organized into four departments: compliance, sourcing, optimization, and training. Each department has a senior lead who has been with Loxton for at least four years. Below are a few of the people you will work with directly.
David Loxton
Founder & Managing Director
Former operations director who founded Loxton in 2009 after one too many failed consulting engagements. Still reviews every project plan before it goes out the door.

Marcus Tremblay
Training & Development Manager
Former corporate trainer for a Mississauga-based financial services company. Marcus designs every training program to be deliverable in half-day sessions — because full-day workshops, as he puts it, teach people nothing except how to nap with their eyes open.

Janet Wu
Client Relations Manager
Janet is the person who answers the phone on the first ring — and the reason our same-day callback promise has a 99.4% fulfillment rate. She joined in 2015 and manages onboarding for every new engagement.
